Say Hello to the Storm E-Bike

If you’re tired of being stuck in traffic for hours on end an Indiegogo startup company might have the answer for you. The campaign that has been launched by Storm Sonders is called the Storm E-Bike, which is basically a two wheeler that works on a battery powered motor, and makes the daily commutes to and from work or wherever a breeze.

Sonders, the company co-founder says that the new technology is similar to Tesla, but without the hefty price tag or the speed that comes along with a full blown sports car. But he is also quick to point out with a smirk on his face that being a two wheeler makes getting out of traffic jams during rush hour quite easy, especially for those folks who are inherently late to wherever they need to be.

The Tesla-ish two-wheeler comes for around $499, which is not bad at all for an introductory price, and fits right in the low range of electric powered bikes, which more often than not will put a $3,000 dent in your pocket.

And while the new introductory price is set to expire within the next few days, enthusiasts who find riding healthier both for them and the environment will be able to purchase the Storm E-Bike in the market for $1,300 which still makes for a good bargain when considering the other price options.

The best thing about the new Storm E-Bike is that they do not require the rider to pedal first before the electric power kicks in. The E-Bike in this way, is fully electric and just a tap of a thumb on the accelerator can get you up to its max speed of 20 MPH, in less than fifty yards, which is not bad at all for riding through the streets of San Francisco. The Storm E-Bike also comes with a sturdy handle and nimble hydraulic brakes that work great on smooth, wet and bumpy terrains. Also, the 4.6 inch superfat tires are designed to run on sandy beaches or the pavement.

But there is a downside to the Storm E-Bike and that is evidently its 350-watt motor which sadly, does not have enough oomph to make it up steep hills without using the pedals. On the other hand, it should make riding a breeze in the canyon roads of Florida, where the startup is based. The Storm E-Bike can run for 90 minutes or 45 to 50 miles before needing another charge. The battery is also removable which is a plus for those who will need to take the battery indoors for charging. According to the company, the Strom E-Bike will be commercially available around June this year.

SimCity – Time to Sit in Your Sandbox and Enjoy these Cheat Codes

Now that The SimCity release has calmed down and the servers seem to be managing to deal with the demand we can now get to playing the game. After all the complaining and the debate on whether the server dependency should be in a game like this, and the ever present problem with DRM we do tend to forget that there is an actual good game there.

The beauty of SimCity is of course that you can be creative. One of the main complaints people have is that the area in which you can build a city is too small. This is something that Maxis may be able to fix in the future, if they decide to do so but the fact is that SimCity has always been popular for the ability to be creative. Sometimes instead of playing the “social” side of the new game it’s fun to just play alone. This is what Sandbox mode is for, it gives you a chance to just build a city without the worries of disasters and other worries.

The Sandbox Cheats
One of the other things that the Sandbox mode offers is the ability to cheat, in fact the game itself doesn’t hide this fact it says it on the Sandbox option. The cheats are also easy to enable, and I’ll list them below. These are typical cheats such as adding money (the most interesting cheat) and others toggle different aspects of the game. Basically it’s to make the game fit what you want to do, with the ease of adding money it won’t be long till you have a thriving city, unless of course you suck at building them then all the money in the world can’t help you. Here are the cheat codes:

ALT+W – Adds $100,000 to your money.

ALT+F – Toggle fires in your city on or off

ALT+C – Toggle crime in the city on or off

ALT+M -Toggle health issues in the game on or off

ALT+A – Toggle air pollution on or off

ALT+P – Toggle ground pollution on or off

ALT+H – Toggle homeless Sims on or off

ALT+S -Toggle sewage on or off

These cheats will only work in Sandbox mode so you’ll find that they are pretty useless in the main game. This is only fair as now SimCity is more of a social game and you have to work with people in the surrounding city it would be unfair for you to be piling up the money and having an edge over the other players. If you want to cheat you’ll just have to play alone in your little sandbox, and personally I can’t see that being too much of an issue.
